the building from outside in 2008

initial first view of the inside in 2008the place had been used as a practice room for a music band, completely covered in noise reduction materials that naturally invite rodents in as a shelter especially being in the countryside

originally planned as a storage area

the making of the 'PC2' the to be new patriot club after leaving perfectly good established premises on Mansergh bks in November 2008 after 10 years was a hard decision to take for those of you have visited the Patriot Club will know what I am talking about,the building shown was completely infested with rodents, a complete rip out of the existing contents was neccesary for us to be able to house the CGBRAA in this what is going to be as good a quality Clubhouse, here you can see a photographic log of waht has been done to achieve this, most importantly with the kind help of HQRAA providing us with some financial backup to make it all possible to s ome professional help in the form of contractors

the false cieling need to be taken out, as it had been housing the rats for quite a while

finding nests in all corners of the place was becoming normality

a complete degunge was on the cards,the original plan to be open within one year seemed to be no problem until a fire in the owners house put a block on what could be done to achieve the deadline of May 2009, therefore the decison was taken to get some contractors to do the heavy work also approaching the RAA for some finacial help was a requirement, after a long period of silence between members work has been taken up again in 2010 with a goal of new years eve being the first official openingyou can see the progress that has been made in the following photos
